Peopling Sutton’s Past: Archaeology and everyday histories

Archaeology investigates the past through objects and structures which bear silent witness to people’s everyday histories. This talk will explain what archaeological remains dating from prehistoric times to more recent centuries tell us about life and work in different periods of Sutton’s past. It will describe how people made and used objects and how they constructed buildings and boundaries.
