Mediaeval Church Open

An opportunity to visit St Laurence Church which is a Grade 1 listed building.  It is one of only four remaining mediaeval churches in Birmingham with stained glass windows by Hardman and Pugin. The chancel, nave and tower date back to c1170. The church sits within the heart of the old village and is now set in the Northfield Conservation Area. Our guidebook describes the building of the church from Norman times to the present day and a guidebook is available detailing the history of the Northfield Old Village. Light refreshments available.
