Weoley Walking Tour
The ruins at Weoley Castel are over 700 years old and are the remains of a moated manor house that once stood here. The site has been inhabited from the 12th century and according to the Domesday Book, was part of the estate of William Fitz Ansculf.
Join us for a special guided walking tour of the Castle Ruins as part Birmingham Heritage Week 2023. During the tour you will learn about the history and archaeology of Weoley Castle and see some of the finds discovered at Weoley in archaeological digs.
There will be two guided walks around the site with archaeologist Mike Hodder at 11.30am and 2.00pm.
