The library of Birmingham holds an internationally significant collection of archives, photographs and rare books. Among these are rare atlases and singular maps, covering voyages of discovery and mapping the growing empire.
During this session, original maps, taken from various distinct collections, will be on display in the Wolfson Centre. After a short introduction to the maps on display, participants will have the opportunity to study the maps in detail. Magnifying glasses will be provided.
The Wolfson Centre is on floor 4 of the library. You will be asked to store your coat, bags etc. in the lockers provided. If making notes, pencil only please.
This event has limited capacity. If you find you have booked a ticket but are no longer able to attend, please cancel your ticket on Eventbrite and we will pass on your ticket to someone else.
