We welcome visitors to come and see the rich legacy of our beautiful gardens. Known locally as the “TV Gardens”, they were built from the early 1970s to the mid-1990s for a range of TV programmes. Fans of Gardening Today and Gardeners World will recognise elements of the gardens which appeared weekly on our screens. Many well-known garden designers helped develop the garden, with work by John Brookes, Dan Pearson and Bonita Bulaitis still on show.
Visitors will get a chance to see original features, as well as how the gardens have been adapted for Thrive’s therapeutic gardening programmes.
Garden Tours. We are excited to share our space with the community. Come and explore our therapeutic gardens, learn about their history, and discover how we’ve adapted and changed them over time.
A selection of seasonal plants will also be available to purchase at the end. Dogs are welcome on a lead. We have accessible compost toilets on site.
