The Rep Back Stage Tour

Discover the hidden world of one of Birmingham’s most iconic theatres as our knowledgeable guides take you behind the scenes of The Rep. Explore areas usually closed to the public, including our impressive set construction workshop, where scenery is designed and built from scratch, and visit the wardrobe department to see how costumes help bring characters to life on stage.

Along the way, you’ll hear fascinating stories about the theatre’s history, its productions, and the people who make the magic happen behind the curtain. Whether you’re a theatre enthusiast or simply curious about what goes on backstage, this is a unique opportunity to experience The Rep from a completely different perspective.

Tours last approximately 90 minutes and involve walking throughout the building, including backstage and production areas. Please wear comfortable footwear. Toilet facilities are available, and you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions throughout the tour. As this is a working theatre, some areas visited may vary depending on production schedules.

The event will be delivered in English. If you have any questions or wish to discuss any access requirements you may have, please contact box office on 0121 236 4455 or email ticket.services@birmingham-rep.co.uk
