The Goodsyard Run Club: Jewellery Quarter Heritage Running Tour

Join us for a special edition of The Goodsyard Run Club as part of Birmingham Heritage Week, where we’ll take you on a 5K guided running tour of one of the city’s most special neighbourhoods – the Jewellery Quarter.

With storytelling stops to soak in the sights, you’ll learn:

✨ How Birmingham became the World’s jewellery-making capital
🔨 Why the JQ has been a hub of skilled makers and inventors for 450+ years
🕰️ The secrets behind landmarks like the Chamberlain Clock and the Assay Office
🏆 How Birmingham made the FA Cup… and lost it

We’ll run past key sites, hear tales of innovation, industry and intrigue, and celebrate the Brummie spirit – the graft, the grime, and the gold and silver.

Option to stay after for a drink and a natter in a Jewellery Quarter venue.

This isn’t just a run. It’s a moving story of heritage, hustle, and hallmarks.

We can’t wait to run with you 🧡

How to get there:
The Goodsyard is a short walk from Jewellery Quarter Station, which is served by West Midlands Railway and the Metro. Limited on-street parking is available nearby, along with several public car parks. Bicycle parking is available in the area.
