Information and exhibits illustrating the manufacture and laying of the first successful Trans Atlantic Telegraph Cable in 1866. Exhibition of the wide and diverse range of products made from steel wire, from valve springs to paper clips. Designs and artwork relating to the inventions of Locked Coil Winding Ropes for Mines and Aerial Cable Ways. Information and documents relating to Hay Mills and its Community. Family portraits and photographs.
