St Edburgha’s Open Weekend
Please come and visit our medieval Grade I listed church. Although in the suburbs of a big city, the church stands in a very rural looking spot with old cottages, a 15th century School House, a blacksmith and open parkland around it. You will also be able to see our recently discovered fictive paneling. While this form of decoration was often found in stately homes, there is only one other church known to have any of this work. Refreshments, including our very popular homemade cakes, will be available at a modest charge. Guided tours of the church available.
Flower arranging demonstration at 3pm.
The church is mostly accessible though there are a few steps. The toilets are in the adjacent Trust School building. Parking is on the street, but we have a small car park at the church hall at B33 8PD.
