Spaces of Sanctuary: Birmingham Refugee Histories

This event will begin with a talk at 13.00-13.45 by Dr Siân Roberts (School of Education, University of Birmingham) on the histories of spaces of sanctuary for refugees and asylum seekers in Birmingham in the 20^th century and the local activists who supported them. 

The talk will then be followed by a drop in session which will provide an opportunity to view archive documents relating to refugee histories from the Birmingham Archives collections.
