Spaces of Sanctuary: Birmingham Refugee Histories
This event will begin with a talk at 13.00-13.45 by Dr Siân Roberts (School of Education, University of Birmingham) on the histories of spaces of sanctuary for refugees and asylum seekers in Birmingham in the 20th century and the local activists who supported them.
The talk will then be followed by a drop in session which will provide an opportunity to view archive documents relating to refugee histories from the Birmingham Archives collections.
Please attend promptly for the talk. To view the archives without attending the talk please drop in between 14.00 and 16.00.
