Old meets New, on this short but packed survey of the lesser-noticed aspects of the city’s most familiar street. Hidden along New Street are the remnants, decorative clues and changing fashions that show how the city’s shops, cinemas, churches, roads and squares and moved with the times. The walk includes a selection of indoor locations—but with no pressure to buy! A ‘ghost tour’ of sorts, with shades of the past resting in the city’s shadows.
