Parish Church of St Agatha, Sparkbrook

Spectacular Neo-Gothic Grade I listed Bidlake church, opened in 1901. Informative guides and display of church history, music recitals and Organ loft tours. 

This historic church was built to house an Anglo-Catholic congregation, and from its beginning to the present day, the AngloCatholic tradition has been upheld. 

Organ recitals at 2pm each day by eminent organist David Lang. 

Russian Orthodox worship on Saturday inside, please do not disturb if this is taking place during your visit. You can wander freely elsewhere in the church. The vast interior makes this the ideal venue for anyone wishing to keep a safe distance from each other.

Light lunch is also available from 1230- 1400 each day as well as tea and coffee.

How to get there. On the A34 Stratford Road in Sparkbrook next to Ladypool School. We are by far the tallest building around so should be easy to spot! For bus passengers, you can use the 2, 3, 4, 4A, 5 & 6, or the inner circle 8. For drivers, don’t worry that Stratford Road is on a red route – there are plenty of nearby streets with parking spaces. Taxi drivers best know us as being the church next to the A1 Supermarket. Bicycles are welcome to be brought into the building if visiting.
