Make Your Mark: Heritage Walk & Creative Workshop

Join artist Kristina Hall and We Go Outside Too for a relaxed creative experience exploring Birmingham’s heritage through walking, observation and making.

Beginning with a gentle guided walk, we’ll take time to slow down and notice the buildings, landscapes and overlooked details that tell the story of the city. Along the way we’ll pause to sketch, write, collect colours and reflect on our surroundings before gathering for a hands-on painting session using handmade natural earth pigments.

Rather than recreating historic landmarks, participants will create an abstract artwork inspired by the textures, colours and feelings they experienced during the walk, leaving with both a finished piece and a deeper connection to Birmingham’s heritage.

No artistic experience is necessary, and all materials are provided. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, as part of the event takes place outdoors. The walking route will be gentle with regular stopping points, and refreshments will be available following the walk. If you have any questions about access requirements before booking, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to discuss whether the event is suitable for you.
