Join us for a guided heritage walk through Handsworth, following in the footsteps of Matthew Boulton and James Watt, two of the visionary members of the Lunar Society whose innovations helped transform Birmingham into the “workshop of the world.”

Explore the locations where these pioneering industrialists lived, worked, and developed the manufacturing processes that revolutionised industry and established Birmingham as a global centre of engineering, innovation, and trade.

During the walk you’ll discover:

– The historic residences of Matthew Boulton and James Watt
– The sites where groundbreaking industrial processes were developed
– How the Lunar Society shaped Birmingham’s rise as an industrial powerhouse
– The fascinating stories behind the city that became home to a thousand international trades
