Introducing Cadbury Research Library

The University of Birmingham’s extensive special collections of archives, manuscripts and rare books are open to anyone who has an interest in our material, from the papers of two Prime Ministers to magnificently illustrated Persian manuscripts.

But how much do you know about Cadbury Research Library?

With a small selection of items from the stores and a range of promotional and online content on show, this drop-in event aims to inform, enthuse and pique your curiosity. Might there be a research topic here waiting for you?

What to expect
– A first-time visitor experience with the collection
– Chance to view original, rare, and unique materials from the Cadbury Research library’s extensive stores
– Meet library staff and specialists in the items on show and find out more about how you can use the library for your own research

Because there will be original, rare and unique material on show, there are hangers and lockers provided to put coats, bags, food and drink (including bottled water) away before entering.

How to get there
The Cadbury Research Library is located on the lower ground floor of Muirhead Tower. Muirhead Tower is building R21 on the University of Birmingham’s campus map. Parking is very limited on campus so travelling by public transport is recommended. The University train station and bus stops are a 10-minute walk from the Cadbury Research Library. Further location details can be found on our website and we’ve a video showing how to find us once on campus.
