History of the University of Birmingham Walking Tour

Join this 90-minute guided walking tour of the University of Birmingham, starting at 11am on Tuesday 15 September from The University Train Station.

The route covers up to 2km and level access is ensured throughout. Developed by Dr Justine Pick in collaboration with the University Collections team, this brand-new tour offers an engaging mix of institutional history, the built environment and architecture, and research highlights. The tour will finish at the exhibition Largely in your hands: making and shaping a university, for those who would like to explore the history of the University through further objects and stories.

The walking tour is approximately 2.2km in length and will be delivered using a portable wireless radio communication system to transmit live audio between the guide and attendees.
