Cathedral of St Chad
A Victorian Gothic masterpiece by AWN Pugin, St Chad’s was the first Catholic Cathedral to be built in England after the Reformation.
This tour offers an opportunity to see parts of the Cathedral not normally open to visitors. Beneath the Cathedral is a large Romanesque Crypt containing several chantry chapels which are not usually open to visitors. A unique opportunity to be guided through the history of the Cathedral and the Catholic faith.
The tours last two hours. This event is not suitable for children under 10 years of age.
