Castle Bromwich Hall Gardens – ‘Lost Landscapes’

An informative walk led by Dr. Mike Hodder, Honorary Lecturer at the University of Birmingham, about life in Medieval Castle Bromwich. He has recently completed a detailed report on the excavations at the castle. 

Why is it Castle Bromwich? A gentle meander which includes a view of the motte and bailey castle which gives Castle Bromwich its name, the church of St. Mary and St. Margaret, road system and other glimpses of the Middle Ages.

Your ticket grants you entry to the Gardens for the whole day, so you may come from the time the gates open at 10.30am and stay until 4.30pm if you like!  The tour starts in the Courtyard Cafe of the Gardens and lasts 1-1.5 hours. 

How to get there:
X12/X13 Bus routes from the city centre, or 28 from Chester Road Railway Station, Jct. 5 off the M6. There is plenty of free parking
