Brandwood End Cemetery – Who lies beneath

Dr Josie Wall from Caring for Gods Acre will let you into some of the secret meanings and hidden messages about what grave inscriptions really mean and tell you a little about ‘who lies beneath’. Can you believe what you read? This is a gentle walk over a small area to visit several monuments. A similar tour was offered last year during Birmingham Heritage Week and much enjoyed. It is fine to join us again as this year’s monuments will be different!

Not suitable for wheelchairs or anyone unsteady on their feet as we are often in amongst the graves on uneven ground with obstacles. Suitable footwear and outer clothing recommended.

How to get there:
The No. 50 and 18 and 35 buses stop nearby. The outer circle No 11 is a 15-minute walk away. Plenty of parking.
