Birmingham Family History Taster Session

Meet experienced staff at this event on Level 4 of the Library of Birmingham and be guided through family and local history resources such as electoral registers and trade directories, historic maps of Birmingham and digital resources including Ancestry and software for reading old Birmingham newspapers. Please note that this session is not aimed at answering specific genealogical enquiries.

Spaces are limited to 15 people for the session – booking is essential.

The Library of Birmingham is designed to be accessible to all. Getting around the building is easy with a step free entrance, lifts to all floors, ramps and escalators. There are two bays for Blue Badge holders on Cambridge Street directly behind the Library on the Rep Theatre side.
