Join us this Heritage Week for a rare opportunity to step inside one of Birmingham’s most historic institutions. Your visit will include a talk on the history of hallmarking and the success of Birmingham Assay Office since it was founded in 1773. You will be invited to view our Silver Collection of notable archive pieces created by some of Birmingham’s most celebrated Silversmiths, including Matthew Bolton, Nathaniel Mills and Elkington & Co. You will also be given rare behind the scenes access to see how our incredible team hallmark today using both traditional and modern practices.
Tea and coffee will be provided. No dogs please. Guests will be required to provide photographic ID in advance of the event which will be stored securely for 30 days after the event.

No parking available on site. The Jewellery Quarter train & metro station is a 10-minute walk away.
