A Guide to the Guidebooks of Birmingham

Ben Waddington is the author of this year’s city guidebook 111 Places in Birmingham That You Shouldn’t Miss. 

Ben’s research introduced him to many other Birmingham guidebooks, past and present, and he was struck by the changing focus on what has represented a meaningful destination for city tourists. This 30 minute presentation covers the heritage, lost locations and changing trends that authors down the years have shared. Ben will also answer questions from the audience and sign copies of his book which will be available at the discounted price of £12. (Payment for books can be by cash or card).
