Anglo Saxon Arts and Craft
A family craft activity in which our young visitors can be inspired by the Staffordshire Hoard’s colourful pattern-work and create something to take home.
As we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the discovery of the Staffordshire Hoard, join us for a family craft activity in which our young visitors can be inspired by the Hoard’s colourful metal and pattern-work to create their own unique necklace, badge or keyring to take home. Participants will try out the Anglo-Saxon embossing technique of pressblech to create a relief design on metal.
Designed for children ages 6 and above but all families are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult and younger children may need more adult input.
