Moseley Art School
Join a tour of this recently restored building which is now the Moseley Community Hub and run by the Moseley Muslim Community Association.
The former Moseley Art School has undergone a complete restoration, thanks to a grant of £1.7 million from the Heritage Lottery Fund and £243,000 from Historic England. The building which is Grade 11* listed, was originally the Moseley School of Art which opened in 1901, designed by the Birmingham architect, W.H Bidlake. It ran as an Art School for 76 years and had many famous ex pupils. The building is now transformed into a community and business hub, run by the Moseley Muslim Community Association. There is: co worker space, offices, community facilities and ground floor exhibition space, where a display of the building’s history will showcase the experiences of former Moseley School of Art pupils as well as many groups from the diverse Balsall Heath community that have met there over the years.
