Moor Pool Walking Tour
Join us for a fascinating walking tour and discover the Moor Pool Garden Suburb, a hidden gem less than 3 miles from Birmingham City Centre. Following his passion for high quality housing for all, John Sutton Nettlefold commissioned the architects Martin and Martin to build this Garden Suburb at the beginning of the twentieth Century, and it was completed in 1912. Integral to the Estate’s plan were the communal facilities which are still well used today.
Moor Pool Estate is the perfect combination of heritage and community. Come along on our walking tour and find out more about Nettlefold and his ideas, and immerse yourself in this perfectly preserved Garden Suburb, designed in the Arts and Crafts style. Experience the peace and tranquility of this beautiful haven, and discover the historic sporting clubs, many of which continue up to the present day.
