Birmingham Buddhist Vihara
Visit the Birmingham Buddhist Vihara and learn about Buddhism. Of Myanmar (Burmese) origin, from Theravada (Southern) School of Buddhism, promoting the study and practice of Buddhism.
The site consists of Dhamma Talaka Peace Pagoda, a Dhamma Hall (where higher Buddhist teachings take place) and a monastery (vihara-where the monks reside).
We ask you to dress as you would when visiting any religious institution (preferably no shorts, short skirts, bare shoulders). Head coverings are not required but when entering the Pagoda we ask you to remove footwear.
Covid-19. Social distancing and other Covid guidelines will be followed and tickets must be booked in advance, face masks must be worn. Visiting is free but donations are welcome.
