Oratory Catholic Church
A guided tour of the church of the Oratory of Saint Philip Neri, Birmingham’s ‘Little Rome’. The church is also the National Shrine of Birmingham’s Saint John Henry Newman. Built in 1903 in the Baroque style, it contains fine examples of Italian mosaics and marble work. Particular points of interest are the Shrine of Saint John Henry, the Shrine of Saint Philip and the alter containing the bones of the Martyr Saint Valentine.
