Moseley Hall Dovecote Garden and History Exhibition
The 18th century dovecote and garden offer an insight into Moseley’s rural past. Find out about the role the brown rat and the French Revolution played in the history of dovecotes while enjoying smelling and seeing the herbs and fruits available to cooks and gardeners in the 18th century. The Moseley Society restored the dovecote and first opened it to the public in 1985. This year there will be an outdoor exhibition illustrating the development of Moseley from hamlet to suburb during the 19th century – the people, their homes and gardens and some of their pastimes. Feel free to explore but please keep to the one-way route.
