Hidden Creatures Creative Workshop
Creatures are hidden in plain sight, all over the city, you just need to use a bit of imagination to find them…
For Birmingham Heritage Week, join us for a family-friendly mix of walking trail and creative workshop as we go in search of hidden creatures in the city, with a little bit of local history along the way.
Sometimes the human eye is programmed to see familiar shapes in strange settings, like in clouds or in buildings, or closer to home, the Roundhouse’s smiley face logo, which inspired by the curvy shape of our building. This is called pareidolia.
Can you see the city differently by finding and teasing out the hidden monsters, robots, shapes and faces in the city’s canals, buildings, and bridges?
During this special ‘walkshop’, we’ll go on a canal walk into the city for inspiration and come back to the Roundhouse to create your creatures back at the Roundhouse.
