Church of the Ascension Open Day
Come and visit our Grade 2* listed church. Consecrated in 1704, the building is a good example of Queen Anne style, and was probably designed by Sir William Wilson, or at least influenced by him. The transepts and chancel were added in the 1860s to give the building its cruciform shape.
Whether you have never visited before, are a regular visitor or have a past connection with the Church, we’d love to see you. Our friendly guides will be on hand and refreshments will be available for a small charge in the adjacent hall.
