A History of Harper’s Hill
An illustrated talk about James and Annie Watt’s first family home in Birmingham. Researchers George Demidowicz and John Townley will use maps, photos and archive sources to piece together the history of James Watt’s first family home in Birmingham, in the area that was to become the Jewellery Quarter.
Developed as part of the James Watt 2019 Bicentenary programme, we welcome George and John to deliver their talk at 1000 Trades, just a stone throw from the site of Harper’s Hill. Supported by the JQ Townscape Heritage project and James Watt 2019 Bicentenary Programme.
