Parish Church of St Agatha, Sparkbrook
Spectacular Neo-Gothic Grade I listed Bidlake church, opened in 1901. Informative guides and display of church history and artefacts; activities available for children and young people; light refreshments available.
This historic church was built to house an Anglo-Catholic congregation, and from its beginning to the present day, the Anglo-Catholic tradition has been upheld. Each Sunday Mass is celebrated at 11 am. Visitors are always welcome. If you do not wish to participate, then we ask you to behave respectfully while worship occurs. It is the best time to hear the organ.
The building is a hidden gem, mentioned in the letters of John Betjemen. Most of our visitors are surprised by just how beautiful the building is! The organ is amazing too. Come and see for yourself.
