Moor Pool Heritage Festival
Discover the Moor Pool Estate Garden Suburb, one of the last remaining intact Garden Suburbs in the UK and one of Birmingham’s best kept secrets.
Moor Pool is a delightful historic Arts & Crafts Garden Suburb in Birmingham. The community assets were saved in 2014 thanks to the ‘people power’ of the Moor Pool community who raised £325,000 in 12 months to buy the facilities around the Estate.
The Moor Pool Heritage Festival will kick off at 11am with the wonderful Sovereign Brass Band playing at the Circle. Following this, there will be a packed programme of performances and activities in and around Moor Pool Hall throughout the day.
There will be fun for all the family! Try your hand at the activities around the Estate, including in our Edwardian Skittle Alley, snooker, bowling and tennis clubs and our rifles club, which in 2019 will be celebrating its 40th anniversary. Enjoy home-made cakes and home grown produce and learn more about the wide range of events which take place at Moor Pool throughout the year! We will have new taster sessions from Mumfit and Oneday Theatre, as well as regular sessions including Baby Ballet. There will also be street food, fete games and den-building sessions among many other family friendly activities.
