Breathing new life into Great Hampton Street
As part of Birmingham Heritage Week, attend a behind the scenes talk and tour on the transformation of one of Birmingham’s most historic streets, Great Hampton Street.
Great Hampton Street, running along the edge of the Jewellery Quarter, has been one of the main arterial routes in and out of Birmingham for centuries. From grand houses where wealthy industrialists once lived, to large purpose-built manufactories, and more recently, hospitality venues and retail businesses.
Great Hampton Street has seen a huge amount of change over the years – and is now currently undergoing its latest transformation.
Join the Jewellery Quarter Business Improvement District and Cordia Blackswan inside the Grade 2 listed Banking Hall on Great Hampton Street. Dating back to circa 1880, the refurbishment of this striking building is the perfect setting to gain an insight into the development of one of Birmingham’s most historic streets.
The talk will begin with a small drinks reception and will be followed by a tour of the current developments.
