Tolkien Walk

A guided introduction to Tolkien, the area of Sarehole and its influence on The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. Starting at Sarehole Mill in the courtyard, the tour guides you around some of the highlights and key areas around the mill that influenced Tolkien in his work, including Moseley Bog, and back again to Sarehole.

Weather appropriate clothing and sensible shoes advised as this tour is outdoors. Your safety is our highest priority, so we are operating these tours with limited numbers to ensure social distancing. Please arrive at your allotted time slot.

Why not consider pre-booking a bake and take or reserve a table for delicious pizza in our courtyard. See our website for details. Birmingham Museums Trust is a registered charity and money raised through events like this help us care for beautiful buildings like Sarehole Mill.
