Saving Places: How Heritage Works

Join us for an evening of conversations and presentations; taking a look behind the scenes at range of projects to protect, restore, and repurpose our historic buildings and places across Birmingham – including the work at Moseley Rd Baths, various locations in the Jewellery Quarter, and the Roundhouse.

For the second half of the evening, we’ll hear from our panel of experts from within different roles within of heritage organisations and building conversation. We’ll be discussing the challenges – and the solutions to those challenges – faced by people with a passion for saving places in the second city. The panel session will also be opened up for audience questions, which can be submitted as part of the booking process.

The Jewellery Quarter Townscape Heritage (JQTH) project is a three-year scheme funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fun. It aims to regenerate an area within the Jewellery Quarter’s ‘industrial middle’ through the repair and restoration of historic buildings and the delivery of events and activities for all.
