Admire the Arch!
Inspired by the 850-year-old arched doorway at St Laurence Church, Northfield, almost 200 tapestry bricks were stitched by 162 people from Northfield and surrounding areas to create a new arch artwork for Northfield. An archive of community history has also been created to remember 2020 for future generations. This community heritage and stitch project is part of the Northfield Revealed project, run by St Laurence Church. During Birmingham Heritage Week the artwork and accompanying publication will be on public display for the first time. Pop by to admire everyone’s stitches!
You will also be able to pick up a copy of the Northfield Revealed heritage walking trail at the event.
