Woodbrooke – Bournville Heritage Open Day
Woodbrooke Quaker Study Centre, 1046 Bristol Road, Birmingham B29 6LJ
Woodbrooke was founded in 1903 by Quaker & Bournville Village Trust founder, George Cadbury. Following a campaign amongst Quaker Friends to create a permanent settlement for religious and social study, George was inspired to offer his former home for this purpose.
It is Europe’s only Quaker Study Centre and has a long and distinguished history in providing a broad-based spiritual and religious education to those of any faith from around the world. It forms part of the Cadbury legacy to future generations, based on a vision of our actions creating a better world.
For our Heritage Open Day, Woodbrooke will be hosting an “open garden”, where visitors can enjoy the labyrinth, learn about its metaphor for journey and reflect on it as a path to support spiritual development; healing, wellbeing and learning. You can also enjoy: a “Can You Find?” activity sheet; giant Jenga and croquet.
No booking required.
