My Story, Our Journey: Sikh Migration into Birmingham and the Black Country
Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, Chamberlain Square, Birmingham B3 3DH
This exhibition traces the journey of the Sikhs from rural Punjab, to modern day Britain. We explore how they travelled and settled in Birmingham and the Black Country. Using personal stories and research, we discovered the challenges they faced and the supportive communities they developed. We look at their cultural and religious identities and how these have adapted over the decades, as part of their integration. This project serves as a reminder of how Sikhs have flourished and contributed to the UK.
No booking required.
