Ghost signs are old hand-painted advertising signs painted directly on the walls of buildings. Join us for an urban ramble around the historic Jewellery Quarter to take an alternative route through the area using these old signs to unravel the forgotten histories of these buildings and streets. It’s history written on the walls for us all to see and enjoy.
The walk includes a guided tour with the history of the ghost signs explored as well as an opportunity to take in the wider industrial heritage of the area whilst we walk through.
The walk is mainly flat and suitable for people with good mobility due to the need to walk across a large urban area. The walk will end in St Paul’s Square where you can join us for an optional well-earned drink and chat (refreshments not provided).
