Bournville Parish Church is dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and the environment. It is a place of calm and beauty, consecrated in 1925. The Church was designed on the early Christian basilica style creating an open space, filled with light. On Saturday 15th September 2018 the Church will be open for visitors, who can come into the building, look around at the exhibitions and enjoy the peace and beauty of the Church. There will be a display of items from the archive as well as an exhibition of local talents from members of the congregation, children’s groups and St Francis Youth & Community Centre’s leisure classes. Refreshments (tea, coffee, cold drinks and cakes) will also be served. During the day we will have music from a clarinet group and a recorder group and we hope the Church choir will also be able to perform.
No booking required.
